People think setting up in busines is easy. It is. running a business is the challenging part. It can be lonely at the top running a business.
Real Business is not just selling, it is managing people, managing money, dealing with laws, keeping records, paying taxes, keeping machines running, and along with many other things, keeping your customer happy and giving him the best service and giving them what the want.
The small business owner does not have a manger to deal with every area of the business, so he becomes the HR Manager, the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller, the Storeman, the Delivery guy and the Tea boy.
What I will write in this blog, are the situations that small business owners and their staff that I meet during my day as a business consultant, their experiences and how they dealt with those situations.
Things like Keeping the books, filing tax returns, cash flow management, paying the bills, collecting money, staffing issues, customer issues, supplier issues, stock issues etc.
I also would like to hear back from people, owners and employees, on what they think about what I have written and their experiences and how they dealt with or did not deal with a situation that faced them.
Being in business is challenging and can give great satisfaction and allow you greater control over your life and where you want to go. It can also do the opposite.
I want to share real business situations here in this blog and I want everyone to contribute.
