Why blog?

This is a blog. I set it up for the following reasons:
1. I could not find an equivalent that was relevant to Ireland (lots of US and UK blogs)
2. It is an opportunity to express myself in words to the world
3. I Hope people will read it and post comments
4. To promote me and my businesses
5. To be a blogger!

I also use another blog http://helpforbookkeepers.blogspot.com to promote a newsletter I email each week about bookkeeping and accounting for SME's.

I use blogger.com to host my blog (it is owned by Google) Wordpress is also well known.
I registered the domain name "RealBusinessBlog.com" and get it redirected to my blog on blogger (this blog). I just tell people to type in their web browser "realbusinessblog.com" and they find my blog.

It does take time to write a blog and you may notice from the erratic nature of my posts (from many a week to 1 a month, I don't always have time to say something.

This weeks post was inspired by a phone call from a reporter from the Sunday Times about Irish Business Bloggers. She had problems finding blogs on Irish business. Thanks for that.
